FAQs -Innisfree Wheelers Sligo Spring Classic 2024

This event will be held on Sunday 5th May, 2024. Routes start and finish at Mercy College Gym, Chapel Hill, Sligo F91CF80.

Online registration only with sign in for this event at venue from 7.30am on Sunday 5th.

130KM ROUTE, Start 9am 1336m elevation-estimated cycle time 5 to 6.5 hrs

75KM ROUTE, start 9.30am 675m elevation-estimated cycle time 3 to 4.5 hrs

Registration is online only and closes on Sat 4th May

Please ensure your bike is checked before departure. Pump your wheels and ensure you have spare tubes for your wheels.

There will be adequate parking in place at the Mercy College Gym Complex. Please allow extra time to park and register. It will be busy.

• Cycling on the route is maximum of two abreast.

• The event is not a race and you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others on the road. Directional signs will be placed along the route and marshals will also be present. Please remember, marshals are only there to assist. You must check for oncoming traffic at all junctions.

• Participants can familiarise themselves of the routes in advance with above route maps.

• 130km Midway food stop at Dromore West Village -tea/coffee/sandwiches/cakes .Toilet facilities

• 75km midway stop Lavagh Village-tea /coffee/sandwiches/cakes. Toilet facilities.

• Lovely hot food selection after the event at the Mercy College

• All participants will be provided with an emergency contact number in the case of an emergency on the route. Please note, this is not a number for bike repairs.

• Please ensure you have spare tubes in the event of a puncture and do not rely on the emergency number for help with changing punctures etc.

• Bike (e bikes are allowed)

• Helmet

• Water bottle(s)

• Puncture repair kit and spare tubes

• Mobile phone with credit

• Snacks

• Rain jacket

• Emergency money and ID

Remember rules of the road apply.

Please respect the volunteers, marshals and medics on the route, they are there for your safety.
