We held our annual static cycle event to help raise funds for the Lions Club Christmas food appeal at Quayside Shopping Centre on December 7th. Despite the very windy weather on the day; having had a big storm the night before there were a good amount of shoppers around who contributed very generously and with good humour and definitely added to the festive cheer at the event. A great volunteer crew from the club helped with the event as cyclists and bucket collectors all help was greatly appreciated by the lions Club.
Thanks to Loressa Timon for organising the volunteers so everyone knew what to do and when to do it. Thanks also to John Molloy for getting the bikes to and from Fitness 4 all in Strandhill on the day.
