Several members of Innisfree Wheelers took part in the third An Post
Challenge - The Meath Heritage Cycle Tour on Sunday July 25th last.
Our picture above show two of our members, Brendan Brogan
(foreground) and John Delorey lead off some of the 1,100
participants in the 110km event.
Others in this event were the experienced Pam Benson, fresh from her
exercions in The Italian Dolomites and Noella Molloy taking part in
her first major cycling challenge. Well done to Noella as this was a
big step up from the 60 km event in Sligo.
In the 160km event we had John Molloy, Eddie Ryan and Michael
Mulvaney and Tom Kolsh. John and Eddie have now completed all the An Post
challenges to date, starting with Sligo and then Clare and now the
Meath challenge is complete.
Well done to the one and only Innisfree Wheeler (that we are aware
of) who competed this year in the revived Maracycle - Sean Muldoon.
Sean was a regular in this event in the nineties before it gave way
to the border trek and it was good that he represented our club in
the revived event in 2010.
Well done to all our members who travel and represent our club at
such events all over Ireland and indeed Europe.
