Well done to all our new and not-so-new members who attended our very successful coaching day at Sligo Park Hotel on Saturday 20th February 2010. By all accounts there was some very valuable information gathered on all aspects of cycling.

Topics covered included: Technique, Position , Nutrition, Training schedules etc. Unfortunately the cold weather prevented the cyclists getting on to the roads that day due to black ice but this was more than made up for with the internal gym work.

Well done to Pam Benson who competed in the National Cross Country event in The Forest Park, Boyle on Sunday 21st of February. More on this later..

Colette Hennigan attended a gruelling Connacht Cycling training camp in Mayo on Saturday 13th of February. Colette was put through her paces by Cycling Ireland coach Padraig Marrey and the programme included a cycle over some hilly terrain covering a distance of over 100km!
