Innisfree Wheelers

At a special Gala night presentation held recently in the Breaffy House Hotel in Castlebar two Innisfree Wheelers racers were honoured for their success in time trialling this year. Collette Hennigan and Seamus McGowan were honoured with a number of awards on the night.

IWCC Lady time trial specialist Collette Hennigan won the Silver Medal this year when she was runner-up to Mary Brennan in the Connacht League Time Trial series Ladies category which was staged over the Summer months in the Castlebar area.

Collette achieved this great result despite suffering a nasty injury in a MTB accident in July. Congratulations to Collette for a great achievement.

Seamus retains double Connacht titles

IWCC prolific time trial specialist Seamus McGowan proved once again that he is the outstanding cyclist in his category when he once again won the Connacht League Time Trial series veteran club category which was staged over the Summer months in the Castlebar area. Seamus overcame some very tough opposition to land the title again this year for the second year running.

Congratulations to Seamus for a great achievement. Other club members participating in the veteran category were Paul Flynn and Timmy McCarthy.
