The fifth event in the Sligo Triathlon/Eire Og time trial series took place on June
1st
at Muragh mountain hill-climb 4k route near
Manorhamilton and Innisfree Wheelers were
very well represented with six members taking part.
Enda Scanlon is coming into his own now as
he recorded a great time of 09:10 to be the
fastest Innisfree Wheeler up the 4k climb
and was 3rd overall. Paul Keogh was just 1
second adrift in 4th place recording a time of
09:11 for the distance on what was quite a
blustery evening. Paul is ever improving at
the time trials and this hilly event was no
problem to him.
Michael Devins of Eire Og CC was the winner
of the event when he recorded a time of
08:34 to equal the course record set by the
young Mark Scanlon in 1997.
The finishing order of the IWCC six were
as follows:
Enda Scanlon 09:10
Paul Keogh 09:11
Stephen Mullane 09:39
Seamus McGowan 09:49
Paul Flynn 09:52
Timmy McCarthy
11:18
