Spin 6
Sligo - Glencar - Manorhamilton - Killargue - Sligo
65km
Grade - Moderate
See the spin map and profile here
This is a relatively easy ride with a slightly hilly start out the N16 towards Manorhamilton. At Glencar near take a left which leads in quite a steep downhill to the lakeside road. Take in the panoramic views here as you descend and also along the lake shore the views are quite spectacular. There is a hilly option to turn left up for Lurganboy after you pass the lake but be warned! - it is quite hilly. On this occasion the ride takes you out again on to the main N16 where there is an easy spin into Manorhamilton. Take the main Carrick-On-Shannon road out of Manorhamilton and continue through the village of Killargue and after a few kilometres turn right for Dromahair. Take a well-earned coffee break in Dromahair and continue along the shore of Lough Gill through some lovely countryside all the way back to Sligo.
