This is a relatively easy ride with a slightly hilly start out the N15 towards Bundoran. Care must be exercised on this route as it is quite a busy main road with little or no hard shoulder between Drumcliffe and Cashelgarron. Riding single file is recommended for a group over this section. At the village of Cliffoney, take a left turn for Mullaghmore. At the castle entrance take a left up the hill which will reveal some of the most breath-taking scenery in the North-West as you cycle around the head. Stop awhile along the harbour and take in the image of Benbulben in the background of this unspoilt sea side resort. Return to Cliffoney and take a left on the N15 towards Bundoran. At Tullaghan (42km) take a right turn and enjoy a coffee stop at the filling station before facing back into another 30km (and probably a head-wind) towards Sligo.
