This is quite a fair challenge, but designed for those cyclists who prefer a long fairly flat terrain with little or no major climbs. Take the lake road via Parkes Castle towards Dromahair. Travel through Dromahair in the direction of Drumkeerin/Drumshambo. At the junction with the R280 - main road to Carrick-On-Shannon, turn left. This takes you through Killargue and into Manorhamilton. Have a short break here for some coffee as there is quite a long ride still ahead. Take the N16 towards Sligo, but after about 3km turn right for Lurganboy. Turn left downhill in the village of Lurganboy. This will take you back on the R280. Turn left in the direction of Bundoran. This ride takes you through Glenade and some of the most breath-taking scenery in the North-West. Turn left for Ballintrillick and enjoy a relatively flat spin the whole way to Cashelgarron with the beautiful Benwiskin and Benbulben mountains just to the left. Turn for Sligo on the main N15 but take care with the traffic as this is a busy route. Turn left for Hazelwood at first set of traffic lights coming into Sligo.
