Seamus McGowan - in his second outing in the
Mayo league improved his first round time by
15 seconds when he posted a very respectable
time of 25:05 for the 16k distance. Seamus will improve as the Summer
progresses and no doubt will be among the
medallists again this year.
Meanwhile Sligo Triathlon Club in
association with Eire Og Cycling Club are running a
series of Time Trials in Sligo on Tuesday
nights over the coming weeks. This is a
great initiative by the other two local
cycling clubs and we are delighted to have
the opportunity to participate.
Among the
hopefuls taking part for Innisfree Wheelers
in the first leg were Paul Flynn,
Stephen Mullane and Timmy McCarthy.
In the first leg Paul Flynn led the club
members home with a respectable time of
21.42 for the 14k event on a very blustery
evening.
The second leg which was 28k saw the wind
turn in the opposite direction and again
Paul Flynn led Stephen Mullane and Enda
Scanlon in a tough challenge with two loops
of the original circuit.
Keep in touch with this web site for full
results over the series.
