Weekly Spins

There are a number of club rides for roadies that take place each week. Don't worry if you're not a racer, these rides are designed for casual riders as well. The main club road rides take place at the weekend, with a social touring ride taking place every Sunday morning, usually covering different distances from around 40K to 100K. This is a long steady training ride (usually 2-4 hours). Riders have an option to "peel off" at any point and usually a group will return to base at that point. Mid-week group rides are organized on a more ad-hoc basis with distances and speeds varying .

Most rides start from  the car park at The Institute of Technology, Ballinode, Sligo. This venue may vary so keep an eye on this web site for such changes. The calendar is flexible, and a lot of rides are organized impromptu using the email list. Anything major will usually appear on the web calendar as well.

• Sunday 10.00am - Long steady spin (2 - 4 hrs)

• Wednesday 7.00pm - Mountain biking at Manorhamilton

• Wednesday nights - Spinning with Dessie Foley at The Clarion
