This event took place on Saturday 29th of August. Over fifty cyclists lined up at The Clarion Hotel at 10am for both the 85k and 150k events. The numbers for each were roughly equal. Both sets of riders remained on the same course for the first 60k until the major feed station at Manorhamilton.

Following a great meal in Manorhamilton the 85k cyclists turned for Sligo and returned into a very strong wind via the panoramic Glencar route. Meanwhile the 150k tour was hotting up with some Lakeside Wheelers from Enniskillen setting a brisk pace past Rossinver and into Kinlough. This pace did not let up on the return journey towards Kiltyclogher and on the climb out of Kiltyclogher a few "experienced" riders were exiting via the back door.

The journey back to Sligo was difficult with the strong head-wind, but overall most participants were full of praise once again for both the course and the organisation of the event.

Innisfree wheelers wish to thank the cyclists who took part and all the voluntary helpers both club members and others. The Gardai and the Civil Defence who manned some dangerous turns. The suppliers of the food in Manorhamilton and Martina Kelly for her all-day provision of drinks at various points along the route.

See some pictures of the days action here.
